Hollywood A-listers Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis are allegedly planning a luxurious wedding ceremony on the charming Indonesian island of Bali.

A report from Life & Style magazine revealed that the actors, who played alongside each other as Michael Kelso and Jackie Burkhat in That ‘70s Show, are organising a US$2.5 million ceremony.

The stars will not be the first to tie their knot in an idyllic beach ceremony, and will follow the likes of Kurt Cobain and Ronan Keating who also said their vows just metres from the tropical waves.

Supermodel Kate Moss also took her family and friends to Bali for a wedding ceremony back when she was dating Babyshambles bad boy, Pete Doherty. Moss envisioned a spiritual Balinese Hindu-style ceremony similar to the one shared by Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall in 1990, set within one of the island's lavish private villas. However, Moss' dreams of becoming Mrs Doherty were dashed when Doherty was detained in the UK.

Kutcher, who was previously married to actress Demi Moore, is said to be "sparing no expense" on his big celebrations. "It's her [Kunis'] first wedding, so he wants her to have the fairy tale," a source close to the actor was quoted in the press as saying.

The handsome pair are reportedly hiring private jets to transport their loved ones to the ceremony on the Island of the Gods.

Thailand is another of Southeast Asia's most popular locations for destination weddings. Australian supermodel Elle Macpherson recently attended her sister's glamorous wedding in the Land of Smiles, which took place on the tropical  island of Koh Samui. The bride, Mimi, and her famous sister both opted for a barefoot bohemian look by donning full-length gowns for the ceremony.

Thailand is also popular with wealth Indian couples and celebrities. Swatee Jayaswal, the daughter of Nagpur based business tycoon Manoj Jayaswal married in Thailand with an opulent ceremony and Bollywood superstar actor Imran Khan and his bride Avantika Malik spent their honeymoon in the Land of Smiles with a 50-guest entourage.
