Phuket flights set to increase with resumption of Nok Air schedule

A recent announcement from Nok Air confirmed the airline will resume its Bangkok-Phuket service from 20 February, with 11 weekly flights.

Nok Air suspended the route in the middle of 2008 and at the same time reduced staff and its fleet in response to rising fuel prices.

The daily flight is scheduled to depart Don Muang at 08:20 and arrive in Phuket at 09:40. The return leg departs Phuket at 10:10 and arrives in Don Muang at 11:30. There is another schedule flight to operate Monday, Thursday, Firday and Sunday, departing Don Muang at 18:50 and arriving in Phuket at 20:10. This will then depart Phuket at 20:00 and arrive in Bangkok at 22:00.

Despite the slowdown in the global economy and disruptions to Bangkok's air services at the end of 2008, there are reports tourists wisihing to travel to Phuket cannot get flights due to limited availability. Nok Air resumption of this route will add more capacity.
